Raising Feminists #3
I’ve abandoned the last two books I tried to read. I never used to do that, but now, yes I agree life is too short to plough on with a book you’re not enjoying. Heard very good things about this, and its courtesy of my local library, which I am visiting more and more regularly. You may also notice the fetching Spider-Man bedspread. I am banished to Jake’s room : have finally abandoned the sitting on the floor when Rachel falls asleep routine , but haven’t progressed to being allowed downstairs yet. There is a noisy movie being watched in my room , so here I am, with Deborah Levy and Spider Man.
Rachel, taking up space. #fouryearoldgirlscanruletheworld
“ Take my picture “ he said, then turned to look out to sea, with more than a touch of melodrama.

Lesser spotted child out in the wild yesterday.
This is Rachel dancing after the March for Choice last year. It breaks my heart that , despite having lived in Ireland for 15 years, despite having two beautiful Irish children , despite my beautiful Irish family , I don’t have a vote tomorrow. I’ve never wanted something more. For my daughter. For yours. For me and for you. If I could , I would vote yes. Yes, yes , yes, a thousand times. Please cast your vote for yes tomorrow , for all of us who can’t. For me , and for Rachel. #beouryes #togetherforyes #bemyyes #repealthe8th
