I am a mother of two children, I work full-time outside the home. I also write poetry on motherhood, and have been published in The Blue Nib Online Literary Journal. I have recently completed an MA in Gender Studies, where I completed a thesis on the intersection of mainstream feminism and stay at home mothers.
I have also organised panel discussion on feminist parenting, ‘Raising Feminists’ with journalists, academics, broadcasters and activists.
This is a blog about motherhood and feminism and parenting. It’s about me, being a mother and being a feminist. It’s also occasionally about other things, because it’s mine, and it can be whatever I want it to be.
I LOVE this, and I am also a huge fan of Amy’s mantra as well!! Totally digging your site and so glad you created this space!

I’m so glad I happened upon your blog. Parenting is SO hard sometimes, and all the movies and happy happy commercials make it look like we’re supposed to be skipping through fields of daisies. Thanks for contributing to the world of Real Parenting blogs! I’ve nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award here: https://riddlefromthemiddle.com/2016/12/13/7-facts-and-a-lovely-compliment/.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with the rest of us!

So happy I came across your blog. Such a great space for ‘and mothers’ because we are so much more than just moms. I came back to work (full time, outside of home) when my girl was only 6 months old. The looks I got, the stickers that were put on me – oh my, don’t even know where to begin. 6 months later we are both sound and happy. Best wishes from me to you lovely lady!
